All you need is Love… and a little chocolate

When it comes to weight management, it is indeed very important to explore nutrition and eating habits. However, these are not the only factors influencing weight management and must be contextualised in the overall person’s life.

In their book “The mindful diet”, Wolever and Reardon consider other six domains. These are spirituality, relationships, physical environment, exercise and rest, time for personal and professional development, and the ability to deal with stress.

The focus is on developing the individual’s ability to mindfully and dynamically stand at the centre of those six interrelated domains (i.e. at the centre of your own life) to assess and change what does not respond anymore to your core values.

When they ask: “What is on your plate?”, this is done more from a symbolic rather than a literal point of view because what people choose to eat is directly related to how they live.

What about getting some help to find out what is on your plate and transform it into the energy you need to live a happy and fulfilling life? You can click here to read more on the subject or here if you have any questions or want to book an appointment.
